i've been writing a lot lately, and i was wondering what the clllllllct is up to with poetry and prose. share your work and discuss writing in this thread! personally, i just finished writing my first ebook of poetry and it is called "you saw our cities on a weathermap, they looked close". you can read it online for free at weathermapz.blogspot.com/ and feel free to tell me what you think! now, tell me about your writing.

I definitely dig this. Your writing style is pretty raw, which is nice. I really really like 'new england is beautiful.'. The straightforwardness and bluntness of it is shocking at times, but refreshing.

Yeah? Thanks! It's actually a song that will be on the ep I plan on releasing sometime soonish. It's sort of inspired by a book called Animal's People, have you ever heard of/read it?

It's based around this big chemical spill in India and it follows this young man who is known as Animal. He's called this because he walks on all fours since his spine was basically bent from the effects of the chemicals around the city. The spill is something that actually happened in the 80s, but the story is fictional. It's very heart-wrenching and beautiful and blunt and nasty and funny. Just very good basically. I got it in the 6 dollar bin at B&N.

it sounds interesting. that reminds me of like, oil spills in the ocean where seagulls get covered in oil and fish die. it sounds sad.

You should definitely pick it up if you get the chance. It reminded me of those things too and a bit of the Dresden bombing, though with less utter destruction.
